Katy Hickman

Katy Hickman hails from San Francisco and is a graduate of Mills College with a degree in International Relations. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in English and loves teaching at LASGS. As a playwright, she has won critical acclaim and recognition for, Bright Boy: The Passion of Robert McNamara, Meteor Girl, Nomenclature, Layered Bob, Required Reading, Chillin’, and Open Enrollment. She also wrote two plays for the Virginia Avenue Project,  Lucky and What I Did for Art. As an actor, she has appeared in Iron Angels III, Psycho Beach Party, and many other productions. Married to author Vince Waldron and the mother of artist Elizabeth Waldron. Hiker, camper, gardener, reader, writer, traveler, cineaste.
