Class Overview:
Welcome to Health in Today’s World! This class focuses on many aspects of how to become and remain healthy mentally, physically, and emotionally given the issues young people like yourselves face. You will engage in discussion and complete projects and tasks to deepen your understanding of various health challenges you will face.
Class Model:
In this class, we will be using a Flipped Classroom Model. This is different than the traditional teaching model. I believe this model will be helpful for the students at Global Studies, but it will take some getting used to for both you all and me. Please remain patient and be prepared to teach yourself a lot at home from here on out. You may be asked to demonstrate your understanding in a variety of methods including podcasting, creating video PSAs, creating infographics, giving oral presentations, planning a school event, and creating and giving a survey.
