The Academic Development course is designed to provide students with opportunities to further develop academic skills and strategies to maximize their learning potential. In a small group setting, students will explore various learning strategies, study skills, and learning tools which they can later apply to their core classes. Daily writing tasks, reading exercises and math review activities are some of the tasks that students will engage in during this course. In addition, students will also complete mini projects such as the annual “Scary Story Contest” and the “Persuasive Essay” competition.
